The global president of RT-One, Fernando Palamone, visited the headquarters of Hitachi Energy in Zurich (Switzerland) to closely examine the equipment that will be part of the company's new data center in Brazil.
Welcomed by Veeman Buell, Head of Strategy and Product Management, and Thomas Stueber, Head of Sales at Hitachi, Fernando examined the facilities where high voltage components are manufactured, responsible for supporting the mission-critical infrastructure of the project.
During the visit, two essential pieces of equipment for the operation were presented:
⢠138 kV Switchgear
⢠138 kV Circuit Breaker
Both use the new insulating fluid EconiQâ˘, developed by Hitachi Energy as a sustainable alternative to SF6 gas, one of the highest greenhouse gases and already in the process of being replaced in several countries. The technology significantly reduces the carbon footprint and represents an important advancement in energy efficiency and environmental responsibility â especially considering that Brazil does not yet require, by regulation, the use of alternatives to SF6.
Unlike conventional systems, which require large distances between phases and occupy more area, these compact devices provide greater operational safety, better space utilization in electrical infrastructure, and enhanced adherence to ESG practices.
The visit highlights RT-One's commitment to aligning high technological performance, sustainability, and good environmental practices, consolidating an AI infrastructure prepared for the future.
