Carregando...RT-One, a North American cloud and AI infrastructure company, is investing up to R$12 billion in two large-scale data centers in Brazil. The projects in Paraná and Uberlândia (MG) position the country as one of the most promising hubs for AI technology in Latin America.
RT-One plans to build two campuses in Brazil, each with an initial capacity of 100 MW and planned expansion to up to 400 MW. The facilities will function as centers of excellence in AI, cybersecurity, and cloud data processing.
Both facilities were designed to be robust, secure, and sovereign—attributes considered essential for Brazil's digital development.
RT-One's decision combines market opportunities, energy abundance, and digital security needs, creating an ideal scenario for AI investments.
RT-One's strategy follows the rise of providers known as neoclouds. Unlike traditional hyperscalers, neoclouds are born focused on AI workloads and offer flexible access to cutting-edge GPUs.
Comparative studies show that a GPU instance on a neocloud can cost about 66% less than on a hyperscaler. This specialization results in data centers optimized for high energy density, with racks consuming between 100 and 200 kW—something that isn't always a priority for generalist providers.
While neoclouds like European Nscale focus efforts on Europe and North America, RT-One directs its expansion to Latin America. The goal is to serve markets with high growth potential in AI, aligning technology, renewable energy, and ecosystem development.
By building AI infrastructure in a fast-growing region, RT-One strengthens Brazilian digital sovereignty and creates new professional training opportunities, supported by a sustainable operational model.
